Saturday, Sept 27
10:00 am
Urban Design Studio (427 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd)
Join us for a unique Saturday morning experience in the heart of downtown Louisville, exploring the Trager MicroForest and enjoying fresh coffee and snacks, courtesy of the Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute.
As part of a special event hosted by Louisville Metro's Office of Sustainability, you'll hear from Patrick Piuma (UofL Urban Design Studio), Morgan Dunay (urban planner, Gresham Smith), and David Toda (landscape architect, Gresham Smith) as they share the story behind this innovative urban forest. Learn about the research driving the project, the plant palette, design approach, and get a preview of Phase Two, about to get underway.
Plus, discover how this project fits into the broader Greenprint initiative, a bold vision to weave nature into Louisville's urban fabric to support healthier communities and ecosystems and help revitalize downtown. You'll also hear some of the ways volunteers and citizen scientists can play a hands-on role in shaping the city's greener future.
This event is free, but space is limited and we want to make sure we have enough coffee and snacks for everyone, so please register here: https://tinyurl.com/TragerMicroforestTour25
Hope to see you this Saturday at 10 am!
