Project Update

While phase 2 of the Trager MicroForest is yet to kick off, minor improvements are still ongoing. Last week, we added a significant amount of new signage across the microforest.

An educational sign explaining the microforest was installed at the corner of 5th and Muhammad Ali, by the metal Trager MicroForest sign. This includes a map of the site along with information about what is being studied as part of the project. This sign also functions as a prototype for signage that may be utilized across other green spaces downtown as part of our Greenprint project.

In addition to the larger informational signage, we have also installed 70+ smaller signs that highlight the multitude of trees that live in the microforest. The signs do not cover every single tree, but every one you can easily see from the walking path should have a sign.

The signs were not the only additions in the work for the Trager MicroForest. Stay tuned for updates on Phase 2 and potential winter tree plantings.
