The last major work of phase one of the Trager MicroForest Project was completed over the weekend. A handful of trees were planted and replaced, filling out the central forest’s new dense canopy. The grass that was planted two weeks ago is now much more established, greening out the new forest space even more. The walking path was also touched up to ensure it is as compacted as possible. All remaining work for phase one of this project will be minor cosmetic changes or maybe the occasional tree or shrub replacement if problems arise. Phase two will see more significant construction, but that will come in the future as fundraising efforts allow.
All this work is leading up to our public opening event tomorrow! You can see full details on our event page. We hope to see you there.
