Calling all local urban planners, architects, landscape architects, and related professionals!
The Urban Design Studio will be hosting two sessions on "Missing Middle" Housing by APA-KY, AIA/CKC and ASLA to network, learn, and take on a design challenge to explore "Missing Middle" housing in Louisville.
The first evening (Tuesday, July 18th) will focus on networking, hors d'oeurves, and a presentation by Metro Planning & Design on "Missing Middle" housing - benefits and challenges.
The second evening (Tuesday, July 25th) will be a design charrette where the attendees will split up into several teams and examine an actual site in Louisville as a missing middle housing development.
Results and conclusions will be used by Metro Planning & Design in their continuing analysis of the Metro Land Development Code (LDC) and possible updates with regard to Missing Middle housing.
