The next Society of Urban Perambulators will be on Saturday, October 16th with a hike through the beautiful Irish Hill neighborhood and brief foray into adjacent Phoenix Hill with our host Mitchell Kersting of WORK Architecture + Design. We will meet up at 10:45 am at WORK Architecture + Design's office in their historic firehouse at 1122 Rogers St, Louisville, KY 40204.

WORK Architecture + Design firehouse office on Rogers Street

Along with Mitchell, we will have a number of great folks who live and work in Irish Hill join us along the way. From a historic firehouse, to a historic beer cave, adaptive reuse of a church, a crazy intersection, a storied recording studio, an urban creek, a cemetery, brick alleys and some amazing modern infill, there will be a lot to see on this perambulation.

Modern infill houses on Hull Street (slightly in Phoenix Hill)
Lexington Road intersection in need of overhaul
Adaptive reuse of a church on Payne Street

If you have ever wondered what is behind the door in the side of the hill on Lexington Road you should join us to see for yourself. If you would like to meet people doing some amazing design work in Louisville you should join us. If you like to walk, see and talk about neighborhoods and cities, and want to join us this Saturday or future strolls, email Patrick Piuma or join our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thesocietyofurbanperambulators/.

The events are open to all but in order to keep walking group sizes manageable and maintain safe physical distancing we need to know how many people plan to join us.
