Activation

We have a vision – a vision to temporarily transform an unused, vacant city space into a haven of local culture. And, thankfully, this vision is coming together because of the passion of the community.

Yesterday marked the first official day of volunteering, and the community showed up to make it a success.

Patrick Henry, co-owner of Henry-McGalliard Design, brought 14 trees that will be part of a landform installation. Our volunteers trimmed them and readied them for the next phase before installment. Eventually, the trees will be painted with different colors and affixed in the space to add vertical art installation elements to the landscape.

In addition, we chalked out the positioning of the food trucks, shipping container bars, stage, and other amazing elements (more to come later!) to finalize the space design.

As we see it slowly start to come together, we will continue to keep you informed of our progress. And, we hope that you will be a part of that progress!

We will be enhancing the space every Saturday from 10-2. Your participation is key, and we would love to have you. If you are interested, please let us know.

ReSurfaced is going to reshape the way we think of bringing the community together, but it can’t happen without the help of our charitable citizens. Thanks to everyone who came yesterday – we hope to see you next week!
