Participate in the walkability study between July 10 - 26!

The Urban Design studio is working with the Aqlan Lab at the University of Louisville to measure pedestrian stress responses along a walking route in downtown Louisville to try to identify issues in the built environment that could be detrimental to peoples health and enjoyment.

The Aqlan Lab team would like to invite you to participate in the walkability study between July 10 - 26. Participants will wear Polar Verity Sense watches to track stress levels through heart rate data as they walk a specified 3-mile looping route downtown.

They will provide the watches but participants will need a phone or computer to run the Polar Beat app (android or apple) and the MPath:Empathic Insights app (android or apple), developed by local firm Gresham Smith, while participating in the walk.

If you are interested in participating you can sign up for a date and time to meet at the Urban Design Studio (429 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, KY 40202).

Contact the team for more information about participating in the study.
